What is Anchor Splash?
Anchor Splash is our kick-off party to the upcoming school year. We encourage evryone new to Troy University to attend. This a great event for guys and girls to get together and meet or just catch up on old times. This will be one of the first tastes of college life as the weekend consists of two band parties and mutlitudes of friends around. Anchor Splash is sure to be a blast so don'd miss out!!

What is a band party?
Band parties are hosted by the fraternity and take place at the fraternity house. The stage will be set and a band is brought in for entertainment. These typically take place after football games or on various special occasions throughout the year.

What is a date party?
Date parties are similar to band parties, then again they are different at the same time. Date parties don't take place at the fraternity house, but somewhere off-campus. There is a band of course, and sometimes they may require a costume of some sort. Don't forget, it is called a date party for a reason. You'll need a date, but being a gentleman of Sigma Chi, that won't be hard to find.

What is formal?
Fraternity formal is one of the biggest events of the year. Formal is an all-weekend event that usually takes place in the spring semester. Last years formal took place in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The fraternity stayed in the luxurious Chattanoogan Resort in downtown Chattanooga. The formal itself took place at the unique and extraordinary Tennessee Aquarium. The night consisted of a formal evening dinner, a tour of the aquarium, and closed with a band party. Formal is a blast every year and our goal is to always out-do the previous.

What is Derby Days?
Derby Days is a philanthropic fund-raising event. All proceeds are donated to the Children's Miracle Network. Derby Days consists of various traditional games and contests between the campus sororities, and each night is closed with a band party. Derby Days is a great Sigma Chi tradition and a memorable experience each year. Great times will be had for an even greater cause. |
